With the addition of SPOC (Sensorless Pump Off Controller) software you might not have to ever stop your progressive cavity pump. We have customers that have eliminated backspin at pump off or gas shot interference by utilizing our variable frequency drive technology. By precisely controlling production rate and usage, additional energy savings and pump wear reduction can be realized.
Programming and operating the SPC Series drive is easy and intuitive. This drive was designed to be used on progressive cavity pumps, using oil field units of measure your pumpers already know such as “Motor RPM,” “Rotor Speed,” or graphing the data on the WiseGuy. Built-in production calculations assist in evaluating wells. The SPC Series is also available in single phase input, eliminating the need for costly, problematic phase converters and the associated over-sizing of components or motors. Additionally, those traditional methods cost you more on your O&M budget dollars due to the high electrical losses that accompany them.

Sensorless Pump Off Control
SPC Series drives, with the addition of SPOC (Sensorless Pump Off Controller) software, give you the ability to run your progressive cavity pumps and slow them down automatically if enough fluid is available, at pump-off rather than stopping the motor. Utilizing the self-teaching mode, the SPC Series with SPOC software will run the pump at optimal speed for the wells inflow rate and maximize production. This will extend the life of the equipment and in most cases, increase production, getting you the maximum return on your investment. In the event your well does not produce enough inflow to keep producing a slower speed, then you simply set the SPOC software up to stop like traditional pump off controllers. What’s more, there are no costly sensors to install on the unit that can be damaged, rending the unit inoperable.
